Contraindications for Self-Lymphatic Activation

Contraindications include:

  • serious circulatory problems (i.e., blood clots and obstructions in the veins)
  • acute infections
  • high fevers
  • major cardiac problems (i.e., acute angina pectoris and recent heart attack)
  • active bleeding
  • absence of urination

Self-Lymphatic Activation is very gentle but it has a powerful effect on the fluid system of the body. A general rule of thumb in lymphatic work is that if the patient can climb up a flight of steps without becoming winded, they can handle a gentle lymph activation session or self-lymphatic activation. If you have any health concerns consult with your health care practitioner before making any lifestyle changes or activating your lymphatic system.

Do not use self-lymphatic activation if you have any of the below health problems.
