Not understanding acid-alkaline balance is not only hurting us, it is hurting our pets. Have you noticed that dogs, cats and horses suffer with many of the same diseases that we suffer from? Some of these diseases are diabetes, cancer, arthritis, cataracts, cysts, tumors, swelling, hives, rashes, depression and anxiety. Our pets are eating too many acid foods and not getting enough exercise. A typical dog food often contains corn, rice or wheat as their main ingredient, these are acid forming in the body. Even their treats are made of wheat, rice or soy. This is a contributing factor why many pets have skin irritations, rashes and allergies. Many of the more healthy dog foods are leaving out the grain and consist of more turkey, fish and vegetables.
Mammals have a well formed lymphatic system that runs parallel to, or independent of, the blood vessels. So your dog, cat, horse, hamster, rabbit or elephant will benefit from activating their lymphatic system. Animals are meant to roam and move in their daily life. When we domesticate them, or limit their ability to roam, we limit their ability to detox acid waste from their body, which can contribute to their health problems .
Our dog Bruno has come to love having his lymph activated. When I go near my therapy table in my home office he follows me and jumps on the table, lies on his side and places his head down on the table. He then looks up at me as if he were saying, “I’m ready.” He has trained me well because I will spend a few minutes activating his lymph, just as we should be doing to ourselves.
There are many ways to help keep your pet’s lymphatic system healthy from making sure they get more exercise, alkaline water and eat less grains. By activating your pets lymphatic system a few times a week for a few minutes, you can help detox acid waste from their body. This can help them recover from an illness or keep them from getting more serious illnesses that can become very costly. Just as activating the lymphatic system can keep us more healthy, just a few minutes a week can help keep our pets more active and healthy.
